Dheerodatta
If there is any crisis, we get scared. It is human nature. But whenever he thinks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he sees the events of Maharaj's death step by step. Examples are Afzal Khan's raid, Shahiste Khan, siege of Panhal fort, defeat by Mirza Jaisingh, imprisonment in Agra, battle at Sangamner, attack on Surat followed by two poisonings. If 2/3 of Swarajya had been lost in Purandar Treaty, one would not have revolted again. But Maharaj took time and took revenge again.
In each of these situations, he believed in himself and came out of that situation safely. After a few more years, if the next generation imagines that Shivaji Maharaj is not a man but a god, then there is nothing special
Feminine South and Character
Shivaji Maharaj is the only Maratha court where no woman ever danced. Our king excels in one test of "Character"...
Chakravarti Emperor who literally "swept the dust on the battlefield and in politics" of all the fighting forces of the world like Turks, Uzbeks, Pathanis, Habashis, English, Dutch..
Mughal historian Khafi Khan writes, "Shivaji Maharaj treated women as a brother treats a sister or a son treats a mother." Shivaji always respected women. Respecting the women of your enemy's party is a high moral code.
Talking about the Maharajas, Khafi Khan, the historian of Aurangzeb, says that at present there is no other ruler in this country who has the character and tolerance of Shivaji. Shivaji Raja has great respect for women. This assessment is done by Khafi Khan, who criticizes Maharaj, but he is also the author of the character of the staunch enemy. The example of daughter-in-law of Subhedar of Kalyan is enough. His legacy was carried on by the Marathas for a few years, providing shelter to the women and children of the enemy party. No ruler can be found in the history of the world who can be compared to Maharaj. Scholars compared Napoleon and Maharaj. Napoleon was brave and mighty like a king but there are many proverbs about his character. There is not a single proverb in history about the character of Shivaji kings.
Such was the morality of Shivaji Raj. That is why he protected the women of Swarajya and foreign states. Many examples can be given of the fact that he severely punished the Gujars who did injustice to women.
The ability to collect and retain people
Alexander and Raja were compared by some people. Alexander wanted to conquer the world. The kings had no personal ambitions. They only wanted to defend their religion against tyranny. Alexander's army often left. This has never happened to kings. Faced death but did not become unfaithful to Maharaja. Baji Prabhu Deshpande, Murar Baji, Tanaji Malusare, Jeev Mahale Ashya and many unknown Sardars gathered Mawle.
warrior :
After Sambhaji Maharaj and to some extent Rajaram Maharaj, no one from the Bhosle clan ever entered the battlefield and this may be one of the reasons why the administration of the state passed to the Peshwas. After warriors like Bajirao Peshwa, the Peshwas stopped entering the battlefield and Swaraj went to the British. A western traveler named Abe Carre writes about Chhatrapati Shivji Maharaj-
"Shivajiraja can be counted as one of the best warriors the East has seen.
His agility in battle and bold judgment, among other qualities, may draw comparisons with the great King Adolphus of Sweden. Be it the war of Pratapgad against Afzal Khan, the attack on Shahiste Khan, the battle of Sangamner, the crisis of Agra, Shivaji Maharaj was directly in the front line.
Scientist
Maharaj did not answer many questions about his religion. They asked Amavasya not to come out and attacked Amavasya. Maharaja broke the notion that the seven seas should not go, or about the sea. The name of Maharaja has to be taken as the first king in the history of India who ruled the sea and built his own armoury. While water tourism is banned in Hinduism. There has never been a king like Shivaji in the history of India who ruled the sea without any discussion. In the 18th century a British naval officer said that Shivaji was born in one fort and died in another because our fortune was great. If Shivaji the king had been born at sea, we British would not have had to come to India, Shivaji himself would have reached London.
Leadership
Jadunath Sarkar, writing about Maharaj's feat, says Shivaji awakened the sleeping society, raised those who were awake, made those who were standing walk, and placed the mark of Swarajya on the shoulders of those who were walking. He did all this feat in just fifty years of life. One of the most overlooked and greatest battles in world history is that of the Marathas and Aurangzeb. Maharaj died in 1680. From 1681 to 1707, the Marathas were fighting the Mughals for 27 years. Against a strong general named Aurangzeb, the Marathas were fighting for twenty-seven years without any strong leadership and without any hope of victory. The Marathas were fighting for the saffron mark of Hindu Swarajya placed on their shoulders by Chhatrapati, for the Swarajya created in their minds. In today's stressful life, we see that people change political parties, change groups and are ready to change everything when they say they are not getting anything. After Maharaj's death and when he was sure that he would get nothing from him, people continued to fight for Maharaj. Such a fight has never been fought for anyone in the history of the world.
